Project Manager

Do you think you can help manage multiple video games concurrently in development?  If so, this is a unique opportunity to be on the ground floor of an up and coming video game company with the stability of a large organization and the agility of a start-up.  NetEase (NASDAQ: NTES), based in China, is a technology company with more than $15B USD market cap.  You will report to the Product Manager and be part of the new North American division that will be adapting and marketing a rich pipeline of mobile games.

NetEase NA is looking for a Project Manager to manage development and operation processes of games that are released in various regions across the globe.  Immediately this Project Manager will focus on an unannounced MMORPG on mobile platforms.  As Project Manager, you will be an integral part of our product teams.  You’ll use your project management skills to build and refine Netease NA’s processes, working with development leads to shape a product from conception all the way to global release. You will also schedule the development and operation tasks that needs to be done, then monitor and communicate the progress across the studio.  


  • Manages product development processes from brainstorming all the way to product releases
  • Work with development leads to identify development tasks that can be track through milestone completions
  • Work with publishing and live operations groups to develop competitive go-to-market plans to support product release, ongoing live operations and initiatives, and achieve business objectives
  • Develop, lead, and coordinate project plans as it relates to game operations for product launches, patches, and service updates
  • Anticipate, identify, troubleshoot, and escalate issues with sense of urgency, ensuring that issues are given visibility to the appropriate stakeholders and tracked through to timely resolution
  • Conduct project postmortem with project team members to help improve the working process
  • Initiate, foster and maintain positive working relationships within the company and third party vendors.


  • 2+ years experience with project management, time allocation, critical path analysis and resource optimization
  • Proactive orientation: someone who takes initiatives, believes in transparency, over-communicates, has a sense of urgency possesses high quality standards, and is driven to deliver results
  • Able to communicate effectively with departmental, regional, and global lease
  • Able to influence without formal authority
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Passion for video games


  • High proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese
  • Mobile games industry experience
  • MMORPG localization experience
